On February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the Seattle Seahawks will take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX from 2015, when the Patriots won on that infamous Malcolm Butler interception. Both teams went 14-3 this season, but the Seahawks look to be the favorites heading into this matchup.
Seattle’s offense is taken into account thanks to QB Sam Darnold. After bouncing around the league for 7 seasons, Darnold finally found his home in Seattle, exploding in 2025 with 4,048 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and a solid 99.1 passer rating. He’s got weapons like newly awarded offensive player of the year Jaxon Smith-Njigba and running back Kenneth Walker III to keep drives alive. But the real difference maker in this game is Seattle’s defense. It’s one of the stingiest in the NFL and could be the biggest test yet for young Patriots QB Drake Maye.

Maye had a breakout year himself, throwing for 4,394 yards, 31 TDs, and only 8 picks, but the Patriots’ offense struggled in the playoffs, averaging just 18 points per game. Seattle’s front seven and secondary should pressure him into mistakes, just like they’ve done all year. However, the one area that I think the Patriots hold the edge on is their coaching staff. Mike Vrabel has done a great job keeping this team calm under pressure and has a huge amount of experience in these types of games. In addition, we must take into account the fact that neither of these teams’ QB’s have been in a situation like this, and it will be a test for both to see who rises to the occasion.
This is an extremely anticipated matchup because of the fact that both teams are new to this stage, and although they are favored as the underdogs, I’m going with the Patriots in a nail-biter win with a score of 27-20. I think they’ll come out a bit slow but start to heat things up in the second half with WR Stefon Diggs being crowned the Super Bowl MVP.
