The Best Buddies Thanksgiving Breakfast took place on Saturday, Nov. 12 allowing members and their buddies an opportunity to interact. The event took place at the club president’s home, junior Roxanna Nowrouzi’s. It was a small gathering meant only for club members and their buddies.
“The breakfast was only for members because we try to keep it a very safe environment,” said club sponsor Ms.Gerri Barreras.
It was the first time that members and and buddies spent time together since the school year started. New members had the opportunity to see what it was like to interact with their buddies for the first time.
“It was a great way for both the members and buddies to get together before the holiday season begins,” said Barreras.
Baked cookies, warm croissants, crispy croquettes, freshly squeezed orange juice, and festive pumpkin pie were laid out on a table.
“The pumpkin pie was the best. It tasted super good and I am happy that it was at the breakfast,” a buddy said.
Aside from enjoying the food, club members and buddies danced and played games.
Not only was it a time to interact, but also to celebrate. Freshman Carlota Rodriguez and her buddy Max celebrated their birthdays at the event.
“It was a really nice to spend my birthday here and I really enjoyed it,” said Rodriguez.
