On Mar. 12, the student council gathered together with the Parent Association to celebrate Popcorn Lover’s Day with delectable servings of popcorn available during each lunch period.
“I love celebrating these holidays because it is always fun to see the smiles on my friends faces, “ said student body vice-president Taylor Hill as she handed a bag overflowing with popcorn to an eager student.
Not to be confused with Popcorn Day, Popcorn Lover’s Day is one of a series of lesser-known holidays the student council is celebrating. Other holidays that were recognized earlier in the year were Brownie Day and Milkshake Day.
Members of the Parent Association were also on hand to help pop the popcorn and fill popcorn-themed bags.
“ I love helping out with these holidays, its fun to surprise students with different treats,” said Parent Association Chair Ana Lugones.
