The Sailing Team is in full gear, placing well in three South Point events in the first half of their season. So far they have placed 3rd, 5th, 8th place throughout various competitions.
“The season has been great so far. The improvement across the entire team has been through the roof,” said Head Coach Brian Kamilar.
Leading the way are senior Nick Bellitti, junior Bentio Guido and sophomores Sean Brennan and Jack Johansson.
Although off to a good start, the team continues to focus on maintaining their motivation throughout the remainder of the year.
“It is crucial that we remain sharp and on our game for the entire season”, said Coach Kamilar.
The team is now shifting their focus to closing out the season strong.
“If we continue on our path of improvement, the conference championships and beyond are certainly in our sights,” said Coach Kamilar.
Sailing looks to continue their success with five more South Point regattas and qualifying for the SAISA Conference Championships in May.
