“Mr. Garrett, my broadcasting teacher, pushed me to join the RaiderVision team and sparked my love for the field, and he always encourages me to try harder. I feel at home in the small room between the two broadcasting rooms: it’s glass, the sun shines through, and there’s a row of computers I use for production that’s situated before a backdrop of the field; I go there every Thursday morning to produce. But there are so many other beautiful places to work in the school.
I love broadcasting and serving as the Executive Producer of the RaiderRise show because I get to share stories that too often go untold, and the school has supported me every step of the way. My biggest achievement is having won several Student Suncoast Emmys for my work after Mr. Garrett encouraged me to submit, and I wouldn’t have even known about the award if it weren’t for Gulliver.”
