“Being a Raider means representing something bigger than yourself. It means committing to your team, your school, and the standard that comes with wearing the Gulliver jersey. As captain of the girls varsity volleyball team, I’ve learned that leadership is about showing up for your teammates every day.
One of my fondest memories at Gulliver is winning the state championship in 2023; the first state title in program history. That moment meant everything to me. It really represented the work, trust, and belief we built together as a team.
Gulliver has taught me discipline, accountability, and how to balance high expectations both academically and athletically. Being a student-athlete here pushes me to manage my time and stay focused under pressure.
As captain, I’ve learned how important communication and resilience are. You have to lift people up, especially during tough moments and lead by example. That’s something I’ll carry with me long after graduation.”
