“I moved here from South America in my senior year of high school, and thats when I attended Gulliver so I only really ever had a brief experience as a student here, but then I went away off to college and when I came back I reconnected with my college counsellor, Mrs. Kravitz at the time, and kind of to get her take on how I could pursue different careers related to counseling and she was very helpful and I felt as an alumni it was a great experience to know I could count on her.
My experience here as a student was great, I had some of the same teachers that still work here like Señor Montero, and then my experience as an alumni reconnected me to the community and then when i realized i wanted to do something related to counseling and education I started working here at the age of 22, I was a teacher for 16 years and then I reconnected to my background and passion for counseling and joined the college counseling department in 2018.
My kids are both Gulliver lifers. They have both been here since they were 3, and it’s been awesome because they’ve had a community of people who really know them, love them, support them, through their different passions. My daughter Gabi has had many benefits and teachers who have helped her grow in her specific talents and interests. Noah as well, even though he has really different interests. I feel like Gulliver has an amazing school because it’s for all kinds of kids, it’s for kids who are super high achievers, or kids who need a little more support, it’s for athletes, it’s for artists, like there’s a space for all kinds of children, that’s my favorite part of Gulliver.”
