Madison Rodriguez Fernandini is a new World Literature Honors and American Literature Honors teacher. Outside of school, she enjoys moving her body through workouts such as Pilates, and hiking. “I want to inspire my students to shift their thinking from a narrow focus on grades to a broader vision of personal growth. I want to guide them in shifting their thinking from merely acknowledging what is happening to exploring the deeper reasons of why or how something occurs,” Fernandini said

Seniors Olivia Pozo and Sam Levinger presented their poster board for Amnesty International during Club Rush. Amnesty International is a beacon of hope and justice dedicated to alleviating the suffering caused by human rights violations worldwide. The movement, an extensive network of activists and supporters extending far beyond our school, consists of more than 10 million people advocating for a future where everyone enjoys and exercises human rights. “I look forward to participating in human rights advocacy, raising awareness of global issues, and contributing to campaigns that promote justice and equality,” senior Alexis Melchor said.

Junior and Staff Writer Lily Tobins talking to Dean of Students Tyrone Sandaal regarding the implications of the new phone policy at the Upper School Campus. The new phone-free campus policy mandates that all students in grades 9-12 must power off their phones and secure them in Yondr Pouches, which will remain locked and stored in their backpacks from the beginning of the school day until dismissal. “I believe the pros for no phones on campus will far outweigh the cons,” Sandaal said.
