With the upcoming NFL season slowly approaching, we’ve made a list of the top 10 teams to help see where they each sit at the start of the football season.
- Rams
Interestingly enough, the Rams find themselves with a significant opportunity to win their division and flourish in the playoffs. With a developing defense, they will be able to limit the scoring from these highly prolific offenses. Although Stafford loses one of his main options in Cooper Kupp, he is replaced by Davante Adams. But what we’ll look forward to seeing is how Puka Nacua performs in his third season.
- Commanders
After a highly productive rookie season for Jayden Daniels and the Commanders, they find themselves lower on the list because last season was intense. With Terry McLaurin having issues with the team, Daniels must start to develop another partnership with recently acquired WR Deebo Samuel. The only problem that arises is how Samuel will perform in a new system and whether he remains a top receiver among his peers.
- Broncos
This is a team that is ready for a serious leap in 2025. With Bo Nix coming off a very productive rookie season, they have no worries about their QB’s capabilities. As for the defense, you could say the same for the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Pat Surtain, who will lock down any wide receiver in the league. They’ve also got some serious threats on the edge rushing front with edge rusher Nik Bonitto and outside linebacker Dre Greenlaw. We have to see how well this offense holds up.

- Buccaneers
Being one of the deepest wide receiver groups in the NFL, the Buccaneers team seems to have the NFC South on lock. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has only been improving since joining the Bucs and will be eager to make their furthest playoff run ever. Bucky Irving also seems set to become one of the best in his position this season, and with such a heavy offense, it could improve its results this season. Overall, Tampa seems ready for a big leap and possibly challenge the huge teams in the NFC.
- Packers
The Packers remain a consistent NFC threat under head coach Matt LaFleur. No matter how much stardom they have on their team, Matt Lafleur is always able to unite them as a whole and create good team chemistry. The difference is that this season, they drafted a wide receiver in the first round. Matthew Golden will be a difference maker, giving Jordan Love a serious WR1. Plus, we can’t forget about how good a season Josh Jacobs had during his first year with the team, where he rushed for over 1,329 yards. Their defense seems to have some of the same weapons as previous seasons, with players such as Xavier McKinney and Rashan Gary. This Packers team is ready to make a serious splash in the NFC and potentially fight for a conference title.
- Bills
This is the year for the Bills to finally get over the hump and win the Super Bowl, let alone make it there in the first place. Although their team doesn’t seem to be stacked, they still have enough experience to make it further than ever. With reigning MVP Josh Allen and second-year receiver Keon Coleman, this duo has it all to become a threat in the AFC. If not, the Bills will have problems with Josh Allen lacking a reliable target. As for their defense, they have let the team down multiple times in the postseason, failing to stop the likes of Mahomes and Burrow. For the Bills to make that giant leap, they’ll need somewhat of a good defence to give their offence more chances at winning games.
- Chiefs
Coming off a Super Bowl loss, Mahomes and the Chiefs are ready to bounce back with a victory. In terms of weapons, they get their WR1 back in Rashee Rice, who will add a bit of versatility to the team, along with running back Isiah Pacheco and receiver Xavier Worthy. Their defence is always strong under Steve Spagnuolo, and they’ll look to show the league that last season’s final was a fluke.

3. Lions
With an extremely versatile team, it seems as if the Lions are ready to win it all. Of course, to do that, they must surpass some pretty heavy teams. With Aidan Hutchinson coming back, this Lions defense will be sure to have some serious power, which will help them when facing tough offenses such as the Eagles, Chiefs, or Bengals. As for their offense, they seem to be one of the best with a highly explosive running back duo in Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, as well as having a strong receiver core. The Lions will look to make their move this upcoming season with a strong chance at going all the way.
2. Ravens
We haven’t seen enough playoff success from Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, but what better time to do it than now, when it seems like they have the AFC on a leash. With their new cornerback signing of Jaire Alexander, they made a case for having the best secondary in the league. Their offense stays the same except for their addition of veteran receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who once again will look to become a big-time threat to opposing defenses. We can’t forget about their monstrosity of a running back in Derrick Henry, who is coming off of one of his best seasons yet. However, all this won’t help them if they can’t hold their nerve in the playoffs and finally get over the hump and reach and win the Super Bowl.
- Eagles
The Eagles top the list after winning the Super Bowl. What sets this team apart from the rest is their mentality. Their ability to go after every game as if it’s already their own is outstanding. We also can’t fly by the fact that we just witnessed one of the best individual seasons for not only a running back but any player in Saquon Barkley. If he, Jalen Hurts, and the rest of this team can keep up the level they produced down the stretch of last season, it won’t be a coincidence if they win it two years in a row.
