Chase Samole is a sophomore and staff writer for the “The Raider Voice”. With two years of experience contributing to newspaper, Chase looks to make a big impact for his first official year on staff and looks forward to bringing his versatility to the staff between his writing, photography, podcasting and editing skills. Chase is also a part of the lacrosse and basketball programs and loves to listen to music.

Parents proudly represent Perú at their booth in the Blue Dungeon during the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, showcasing cultural items in front of the backdrop of Machu Picchu. The Perú booth was one of 18 country displays that highlighted the rich diversity of Hispanic cultures. The Parent Association’s participation helped create a sense of community and pride, allowing students to learn about different traditions firsthand.

Junior wide receiver Luc Caroll catches the ball near the sideline. Carrol serves as the team slot receiver but is able to be a possession receiver while providing a deep threat down field.

Senior defensive tackle Donovan Hayes flexes after getting a sack. Hayes this season has 11 total tackles while creating two tfl (tackle for loss) and two quarterback hurries according to Maxpreps.

Sophomore linebacker Muarice Gage tackles King’s academy running back. Gage was coming off a game where he posted 12 total tackles and one sack according to Maxpreps.

Junior wide receiver Luc Caroll runs past two defenders for a touchdown. Caroll would have many big plays in the 2nd half that helped the Raiders mount a comeback versus King’s Academy.

Sophomore running back Darriel Cannon attempts to evade the defender by running past him. Cannon has served the Raiders this year at safety and the lead running back. Cannon has served the team as a three down back being able to catch passes and pass block.

Senior defensive back/wide receiver Kenny Willams makes a play on the ball down field. Williams is able to use his speed to get himself open but has shown while with the team his abilities to make plays on the ball.

Sophomore quarterback Harvel Jackson tries to convert a third down late in the second quarter. Jackson came into the game after Sophomore quarterback Jonathan Walker left the game due to an injury. Jackson himself was dealing with an injury from the game against Monsignor Pace.

Senior defensive back/wide receiver Kenny Willams jukes out a defender off a kick return. Williams serves as the team's main kick returner, receiver and plays a big part of the Raiders’ defense.

Sophomore defensive back Deandre Leonard lines up before the ball is snapped. Leonard has served the Raiders as their main man to man cornerback taking on the hardest matchups each week.

Offensive coordinator Tony Gaiter IV signals the play call to sophomore quarterback Jonathan Walker. Gaiter has brought a fast paced spread option scheme to the team relying on his wide receivers to make plays.

Senior defensive end Julian Terry and junior wide receiver Ryan Beery lead the team out of the tunnel. For the team, the walkout was important as it set the tone before the game started.

Junior defensive back Leandrez Lenoard daps up junior safety Samuel “Champ” Smith after getting a tackle. Leonard already has two interceptions this season and was coming off a game in which he posted seven solo tackles.

Boys’ varsity lacrosse head coach Erik Cartelle gives his defensive players a game plan before their regular season game against Westminster on April 13th. The defense locked down their opponent’s offensive attack up until the final whistle, holding Westminster to only one goal scored the entire game. “Winning 16-1 felt exhilarating, especially since it was against my former coach,” senior defender Brandon Rosenthal said.
