After years of early mornings and hallway memories, the class of 2026 took on their last first day of school with pride and excitement for what’s coming next.
The year started off with a senior sunrise at Matheson Hammock. Seniors came together to watch the sunrise, marking a brand new beginning for the next chapter of their lives.
“Senior Sunrise was so fun because we all got to be together watching the sunrise, and soon enough, we will be watching the sunset, and I think it was a nice thing to bring us together as a class,” senior Isabella Menjivar said.
After sunrise, seniors arrived on campus for the tradition of signing the senior wall.

“Signing the senior wall was so cool because for years I would always see the names of kids on the red wall and know that one day I would be writing my name on it, and the day finally came and it feels so surreal,” senior Lily Tobins said.
On August 14, seniors were welcomed back to school with a senior breakfast hosted by the parents’ association. The senior breakfast offered food and photo walls where seniors could enjoy each other’s company while taking pictures on their first day of school.
“The senior breakfast was super nice because we got to all be together, taking pictures and keeping memories of our last first day, they made it extra special and unique from the others,” senior Julieta Martinez said.
The day wrapped up with the first assembly of the year, the student government and faculty gathered students in the Hu Court to introduce the seniors and play fun games. With the year officially underway, the seniors look forward to the moments ahead that will define their final chapter of high school.
