On April 20, Raiders gathered at the HU Court to celebrate five seniors who will be living out their dreams of playing their sport in college. These athletes include:
Cameron McAuliff (Baseball – Miami-Dade College)
Caden Roberts (Track and Field – Embry-Riddle)
Aiden Wolfe (Football – Rhodes)
Brian Sanchez (Baseball – Mid-Atlantic Christian University)
Tomas Bellatin – Soccer, Claremont McKenna College
Senior track athlete Caden Roberts spoke about his journey from Basketball to Track and Field.
“I played basketball all my life. Coach Suarez always wanted me to do track, and I decided to go out in my Junior year. That year, I actually made states, and that’s when we started contacting coaches. For a while, there were no responses, but Embry-Riddle reached out … we’ve been on and off, but I finally committed when they re-offered me,” Roberts said.
From summer workouts to championship games, these athletes’ commitment to their sports has been evident. Now they’re ready to continue their journey at the collegiate level.
