13 senior student-athletes signed their National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) letter of intent on Feb. 5 at the new Hu Court. For these student-athletes, this marks the beginning of their athletic careers and the next chapter of their academic journey.
Two senior football players RJ Boynton and Nico Herskowitz will be joining each other in New York to play football at Ithaca.
“It’s really a full circle moment for us from being freshmen doing summer workouts together and putting in the work to seniors being able to continue our football journeys together,” Boynton said.
Most athletes won’t have a close teammate with them and will be taking on the challenge of pursuing their athletics careers by themselves across the country. Other athletes like senior Kenny Williams are staying close to home while playing their sport.
“Being able to play the sport I love, go to a top school in Florida, and be close to my family is an absolute blessing,” Williams said.
Many sports were represented during the event. The sports represented during the event included all three sports seasons, the sports represented were Football, Swimming, Soccer, Volleyball, Track, and Baseball.
