Madison Rodriguez Fernandini is a new World Literature Honors and American Literature Honors teacher. Outside of school, she enjoys moving her body through workouts such as Pilates, and hiking. “I want to inspire my students to shift their thinking from a narrow focus on grades to a broader vision of personal growth. I want to guide them in shifting their thinking from merely acknowledging what is happening to exploring the deeper reasons of why or how something occurs,” Fernandini said

From Movies to Classic Characters: Trending Halloween Costumes for 2024
Sophomores Ana Luiza Fortuna De Oliveira and Kennedy Feldman energized the crowd while the teams prepared their play. Senior Zoe Gross participating in the game additionally helped them excite fans. The grades came together in support of one another, which started the new Powderpuff tradition on a good foot.
Raiders Resurrect School Spirit Through Homecoming Activities
The patio decorations welcomed students and faculty alike to the Diwali celebration. The event brought people together a diverse crowd under floral decorations and colorful banners. Traditional music and food created an atmosphere of joy and unity.

Players and coaches celebrate after the huge homecoming victory, joyfully holding the district championship trophy. Even though it wasn’t a district game, they embraced the moment and enjoyed their time together. The smiles on their faces showed how hard they worked to achieve this win.

Matos Pizzorni breaks barriers as the first female athlete on the junior varsity football team. “If there are girls who want to play, they should take action,” Matos Pizzorni said, advocating for gender-inclusivity in football.
Breaking Barriers on the Football Field
Seniors Eden Meidar Alfi and Leticia Lemann wrote "The Elefant in the Room", a children's book spreading dyslexia awareness. Alfi was diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age and her experiences influenced many events which transpire in the book. Alfi and Lemann hoped that through this project they would be able to reach out into their community and inspire change in regards to the stigma surrounding dyslexia.

The student body fills the drama room for a lively meeting focused on upcoming events. Students brainstormed ideas and collaborated on plans to ensure everyone's interests were represented. “So much planning goes unseen, but it’s just so exciting to see everyone enjoying themselves from Spirit Week up until homecoming night,” member of student body Isabella said.
Behind the Scenes: Preparing for Homecoming
In a recent meeting in Washington D.C, IB Critical Thinking Research Design teacher, Linde Barrett, stands in front of a U.S. Department of State display. “It was an incredible opportunity to engage with leaders on a global scale and explore the role of education in international diplomacy," Barrett said.

Marlyne DeLima works as a counselor at the Upper School located in the Student Union for over ten years. With over fifteen years of experience assisting students at public schools, Marlyne brings a wealth of expertise as a mental health counselor. After that, she started her private psychotherapy practice and has worked at the upper school ever since.
