Out of the pandemic have emerged new ways for people and their friends to stay in touch. This Prepcast episode’s guest is one person who has taken full advantage of the situation: junior Jason Fieler, who since the beginning of quarantine has turned his enthusiasm for the reality TV show “Survivor” into a fun way to bring his friends together over the distance through a game called “Virtual Survivor.” The game has turned into a competitive phenomenon among Fieler and his participants, who meet across grade levels and friend groups.
“I do it because it’s fun for me to know that other people are having fun,” said Fieler. “My goal is to make other people happy, because spreading happiness is really important. I know that sounds cheesy, but that’s the truth.”
